This Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery Cluster Travel Stipend provides funding for graduate students at Northwestern University for travel to national conferences related to chemical biology and drug discovery at which the student is presenting. Up to four stipends will be awarded from September 1 – August 31 each fiscal year.
·Students must be enrolled in a PhD program administered by The Graduate School and must be in good academic standing
·Students must be a member of the Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery Research Cluster.
·Students must have completed a minimum of three quarters in their thesis lab before submitting an application.
·Student must provide proof of conference registration and official verification of invitation to present.
·Students are eligible for one stipend in the amount of up to $500 over the course of their entire graduate career.
·Student must apply 30 days in advance of the first day of travel.
·Funds will not be awarded retroactively.
·Each stipend will be up to $500 for graduate students in the Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery Cluster only.
·Students are eligible for reimbursement for food, transportation, lodging and conference fees. Please note: Reimbursements must be in accordance with Northwestern University Travel Policy and Procedures, which can be viewed here.
·Student must submit the stipend application at least 30 days prior to the first date of travel.
